This is FOP Duets – a drums and guitar duo recorded live in the studio. All tracks were taken from a single improvised session. Bob made his way down to Atlanta, after having spent time in Chattanooga. The studio was based in Little Five Points, and we knew the owner so we had a lot of freedom to work. We were setup and ready to go in a manner of minutes. We spent the better part of two days recording. And with the exception of, “shoot me”, the playing was all improvised, without any discussion about concepts or context. Essentially, we flipped the switch on and took it for a ride. We would pause periodically to listen back but, as far as I can remember, it was a fairly intensive few days of recording, editing and mixing.
