What is Project ONSTAGE?
In part, bringing MIDI creations to life, inviting musicians to collaborate, to personalize the experience for each performance. The design for this project invites participation from composers and improvisors, ranging from the experimental to jazz and orchestral, creating a dynamic intersection of application and collaboration. But there’s more…
Taking it from the studio to stages is the another step – open to the possibility of partnering with an arts organization, university or educational institution where music is aLIVE and well, focusing on the human touch and expression at every turn. And, another piece, having it in mind to compile a list of venues and turning this into a roadshow, or residency. If you’re reading this and like the idea or perhaps you know someone else who might, then please reach out and make contact.

A number of these tracks, as they appear here, have already been realized for live orchestra and big band, on these recordings, while others are still in a pure MIDI performance state. These works represent a current framework, one which will undoubtedly adapt and evolve to the particular group of creators and players at any given time. And for those of you interested in recorded works created by improvisation, as the primary approach, you can hear some of this material; improvisations volume 1 & 2, here.
Studio 7305 – Located just 30 miles south of Atlanta, Studio 7305 is a home base for creation, an incubator for developing a wide range of musical ideas, compositions, improvisations, and productions, including Project ONSTAGE.
